As the cover promises, this book is all about animal fortune-telling.  It is a detailed account of one’s personality in many aspects including, but not limited to your social life, your personal life, your business ventures, and your luck.  I have seen many books that are similar to this in regards to fortune-telling, but this book is by far the most detailed and fun.

What caught my eye from the get go is the amazing use of color.  Every color of the rainbow is used throughout the pages.  The design work is amazing and keeps the eye entertained.  The set up of the book starts with a few pages explaining how everything works.  It is simple and straight forward and very easy to follow.  Once you read the instructions, you then turn your eyes to the very colorful chart and find your birth date and do the needed calculations.  You ultimately do a little bit of math and figure out your number.  There is then another chart, again, lovely in color, that tells you what animal you are, and what page you can find your fortune.  I happened to be a restless monkey.  I was surprised to find a picture of a restless monkey on the page I was led to, and then a slue of information regarding my fortune.  It was entertaining and for the most part proved very true for me.

Once you find out what animal you are and read up on things, you can flip to the back few pages of the book and find even more fortune-telling fun.  You find the picture of your animal and read your fortune on how you are in a party scene, business setting, and conversations.  Lastly, you turn the page and see a huge colorful chart that helps you to calculate how compatible you are with your significant other.  I scored a very low number with my husband, so I sadly took it with a grain of salt, but it was still very fun to do, especially with friends!

This is obviously not a story, and not a book to read front to back, but rather a great book to use with a group of friends.  I found myself sitting down and calculating everyone’s birth date and year and finding out what their fortune was.  It was a fun time and a lot of things proved true.  I would recommend this for any and everyone who is open to this type of entertainment. You can believe in the fortune telling, or you can take it with a grain of salt; either way, it is worth the time.
