Dobie The Canine Saint
Dr. Paul Greenbaum
Reviewed by Diane Kasperski
Vicious, a 5 month old neglected, starving and extremely fearful Doberman mix was the last thing Dr. Paul Greenbaum wanted to take home that fateful day in 1985. He had recently had his faithful companion, Old Pal put to sleep and was not ready to open his heart or home to another dog. His friend Tom and his inner spirit guide both insisted that he take her home.
He did.
Vicious just was not an appropriate name for this baby who was petrified of the world and everything in it. Thus Vicious became Dobie and their story began.
Dobie The Canine Saint is an awesome story
of how given time, love and understanding a dog can blossom into the
best soul mate a person could hope for as well as a great teacher of
what unconditional love can be. Dr. Greenbaum has written a great
tribute to Dobie and their life together through ups and downs. Within
the 126 pages of this book is a warm, enriching story of how Dr.
Greenbaum benefited by Dobie's love and learned from her
courage to
overcome obstacles no matter how big they seemed. I would recommend
everyone read this book - dog lover or not.
