Dog Park
Diary: The Social Round Of Goody Beagle

Reviewed by Bonnie Jo Davis
This gorgeous book by Kim Pearson with photographs by Anne
Lindsay is an easy read but don't let the subject matter fool you. Dog Park
Diary is both funny and
insightful. The narrator Goody Beagle
has a sharp sense of humor and observation and his loyalty to his human
is
touching. He tells of the simple
pleasures of visiting his local dog park and offers some home spun
truths that
should be applied to both humans and their pets.
In addition, I enjoyed learning the stories of the other
dogs and the explanation by Goody Beagle as to why dogs behave the way
they
do. Dog lovers will adore this book and
pet lovers will enjoy it too. Dog
Park Diary would make an
excellent
gift for older children and adults.
The photographs in this book are breathtaking and very
realistic but readers should be warned not to read the book while
eating! Dog
Park Diary is lovely and a
refreshing alternative to the constant supply of depressing murder
mysteries
published every day of the year. I could
not help falling in love with Goody Beagle and I appreciated the
reminder of
how important it is to sniff the butt of everyone you meet and to be
grateful
for the small things in life.
