Reading The Woman's Field Guide was a joy.  Author Corrie Woods has a winner of a book.

I liked absolutely everything about this book.  From its small, compact size that fits perfectly in my handbag, to the cheerful blue cover, to the inspirational content.  I love carrying books around that I can pull out whenever I feel the need, be it to write a thought or to read an inspiring passage.

The Woman's Field Guide to Exceptional Living is enriching.  It encourages you to be who you were destined to be all along.  The book starts with a basic premise - celebrate yourself - which is easier said than done as most of us have always believed that we should come last.  However, as I was reading this book, I actually wanted to try out some of the advice that it contains.  Each section contains a step by step guide created solely for us women - to give us the strength to put yourselves first.  I loved the section on gratitude - I often forget just how lucky and blessed I truly am.  I also loved the "Field Notes" sections-  a blank page containing an inspirational thought - with plenty of room to write my own thoughts.  Perhaps the biggest gift this book has given me is the concept that I need to remember what it was like to be a child and to hold on to some of those precious childhood instincts which made life so much fun and exciting (I loved making mud pies).

This book made me think and it also made me re-evaluate the "seriousness" of my life - I need to remember to have some fun and to be grateful that I have the willingness to grow and believe.

Buy this book. I have had it for two weeks and it is already looking a little worn from the myriad of times I have pulled it in and out of my bag for inspiration.
