What first struck me about this story is the story line itself. It was refreshingly unique and very pleasant to read.  It is a true blue romance, but unlike any that you have ever read before!

After losing his brother in a car wreck, Saul goes on a mission to find out why Fabio left his inheritance to a woman named Roxie, instead of his wife Louisa.  Expecting Roxie to be some floozy, he finds that she is a lower class woman with odd quirks that he feels strangely drawn to.  He also learns that she has a young boy who looks just like his dead brother.  He demands answers from her as to how he knows his brother Fabio.  Realizing that Fabio is the father of this boy he breaks the news to Louisa.  Less than thrilled she decides to meet Roxie for herself.

Roxie insists that she wants nothing from any of them. She feels as though that because they are wealthy and she is not that they are giving her a hand out.  She tries to rid herself of the whole lot of them but realizes that Saul isn’t going away. Now that Saul knows he has a nephew, he wants to have a relationship with him.  Trying not to become close to Roxie is proving to become difficult as well.  As fast as she can get his temper flying, she can heat his blood even more.  There is something about her that he finds refreshing and intoxicating.

Roxie feels this spark as well, but fights it with all her might. She does not want to involve herself in this family anymore than she already has.  As much as she tries she is unable to ignore his handsome good looks and his addicting personality. She finds herself falling for him fast.

Margaret Blake does a wonderful job with her characters. They are easy to fall in love with.  The romance between Roxie and Saul is exhilarating to read about, but it is the story as to how they came to meet that was my favorite. Imagine finding out that your husband had a secret that he kept all this time. I don’t think I could bear it, but it sure was fun to read about it! I would recommend this story to any romance lovers out there. This will definitely be a memorable read!
