This fast paced story was just what the doctor ordered for a day off from work.  Reading this in one day made for a nice relaxing afternoon.  T.C. LoTempio does an excellent job at creating an original story with characters that are impossible not to fall in love with.

Casey Catherine Farraday has a passion for writing. Finally getting her foot in the door, her agent, June Walker finds a publishing company that is willing to buy Casey’s book and make it a best seller.  The catch is they think Casey is a man.  Before Casey can digest any of this, she is swept up in a whirlwind of lies, confusing choices, and frustration.  She is told that in order for her book to be published and to be able to make this plan work, she must allow someone else to pretend to be the author of her book and to appear on all of the talk shows that they want to set up to help promote the book.  Knowing she is already too far invested to come clean to the publishing company, she goes along with the ploy and hopes no one finds out that she is the real author of the book.

Preston Frawley the Third has recently inherited his mother’s publishing company. He is trying to make a new name for himself and become a more responsible, down to earth guy.  He is renting a condo and tells no one his name where he lives so that he can keep a low profile.  He meets his neighbor who lives across the hall from him and is instantly smitten. Not wanting her to know who he is so that he can make sure she doesn’t go after his money, he keeps his true identity a secret.

Casey Catherine is that woman he is so smitten with.  She doesn’t know who he is, or the fact that he is the boss of the publishing company who she is deceiving.  The plot thickens when Preston decides that he doesn’t like the book because it reminds him too much of himself back when he was more immature.  As he tries to woe Casey Catherine, he is also trying to stop her books publication in its tracks, without even knowing the connection.  Will Casey get her book published, or will the man she is falling in love with inadvertently crush what she has tried so hard to accomplish?

T.C LoTempio does an amazing job keeping his story clear and concise so that the reader does not become confused with all of these twists and turns.  This is a story like no other and was very fascinating to read. It is very obviously a love story, but at the same time has a strong story line to it that is not just about romance. It is also about a woman’s passion to write, and a man trying to live up to his name and create a booming business.  I would recommend this story to anyone who enjoys a good read.
